Saya dah selesai tengok cite Sepi dan Setem, dua- dua arahan saudara Khabir Bhatia. Nice work! At the very least, we are getting somewhere, I mean our film industry la, ni apa ke hay ni yeop cakap omputih. Takkkk ...., sebenarnya gini, suka tengok filem- filem cam ni mula mendapat tempat di hati pengikut filem tempatan, nyata sekali, selera kami peminat sudah berada di tahap yang berbeza. Khabir Bhatia pandai bermain dengan emosi, pandai memilih shot- shot yang pada saya memang superb, errrr ... saya cakap pasal Sepi. Shot- shot beliau bermain dengan sekitaran yang mendalam, detailed. The first shot was the hot buns coming out of the oven, can you see the lazy smoke, it was an almost perfect opening scene, by Malaysian standard of course. Congrats.
Here comes bro Afdlin, Now! Afdlin memang a natural actor. He can do jokes, till your perut pecah, and he can definitely berlakon serius. Versatile, kata orang Perak. Now, Sepi is all about the face. Just by looking at their faces, you realized, its just empty. Hence the title Sepi. Its not easy to actually do that, to bring it out in the open and present it on a plate for the audiences, its just not. Big stepping stone in our movie industry, HUGE!
Afdlin or Adam did good, he anchored the character right to the ground. Apa ni, asik cakap omputih lagi, sesiapa pun akan rasa bebannya. Tony Eusoff did good too added by the nice tears flowing shot, it was timeless. So was Vanida and Eja, nice work indeed. Kudos Khabir!
After all the emptiness, when you tengok Afdlin dalam Setem, hahahaha ....... he was simply a different guy, hip hop thingy I supposed. Afdlin was someone else, and this time you can actually see atau bahasa kebangsaannya, tengok saudara Afdlin kita macam pengikut, not a leader. Apa je saudara Rashidi cakap, jadik! Its a good attempt by Khabir to show a different side of Afdlin and we fans, want to see that versatility. Wahuuuuu ..... Albert Einstein menjerit dalam filem IQ. So, kudos and syabas to Khabir and my man, Afdlin. Hati aku belum puas lagi, Papadom tak tengok lagi, now don't tell me, good movie kan?, I know so, cause it is Afdlin's. Hahahahaha .... Now, in Papadom I will see these two sides of Afdlin facing each other, head on! Interesting! About the monotonous of casting in your movie Afdlin, I take it back! Saya ambil balik, you did good this time around! Wassalam!
